FROM A STATE OF SEPARATION TO AN AWARENESS OF UNITY

In these times of far-reaching change at all levels of society, a re-evaluation of all human values is unavoidable.

The current economic world order hardly takes any account of ethical principals. It has its eye firmly fixed on global dominance of the markets and capital flows and accepts the resulting social and cultural alienation of millions of people. The devastating end result of this attitude is irreversible environmental damage, massive abuse of resources, poverty and despair.

At a personal level we find that the abyss between the inner and outer worlds, between trying to find ourselves and consumption-driven heteronomy and dependence is growing ever wider. The urge to accumulate only earthly possessions and the identification with the world of goods are diametrically opposed to the concept of a meaningful life. As a result a deep-seated feeling of detachment permeates our thoughts, feelings and daily actions.

We can escape this fatal isolation by finding a harmonious balance between the material, mental and spiritual worlds. This requires courage and openness, as practical constraints are often difficult to remove and it is almost impossible to see through their superficiality.

Spirituality is knowledge of the different dimensions of our existence. It does not accept any dogmas and transcends all religions. Creative spirituality recognises life in everything and unites every soul with its own truth. It does not judge anybody and does not exclude anyone.

An awareness that all levels of reality are inseparably connected to one another enables the reconciliation of polarities such as science and art, economics and ethics, sexuality and spirituality, male and female, light and dark.

The knowledge that we are an integral part of a meaningful whole gives us unexpected life energies, which guide us to respect for our environment, responsibility for our own actions and the unfolding of our personal destiny.

On the way to this goal, the Foundation Lascaux wants to make a contribution.

The order of the cosmos has a gift of reason that far surpasses the human mind. (Albert Einstein 1879 – 1955)

Modern science increasingly recognises the importance of the «living cosmos». This is based on the picture of a nature organised by fields, rather than the old paradigm

of an «inanimate nature» in a mechanistic universe.

The Foundation Lascaux is convinced that the inexhaustible potential and organising power of colour plays a key role in our search for a holistic consciousness.

Colour is light that has taken material form, and as such it is a central guide to human orientation.

Colours are essences given by the Creator to his creatures.

(Robert Fludd 1574 – 1637)

The 12 colours of the cosmic order – emerging from the primary spectrum of the Sirius colours, developed by Barbara Diethelm - form a colour analogy for radiant energy that symbolises universal creation.

Each of these colours represents an elemental force whose oscillation frequency

is anchored in the dense matter of the Earth.
